Barem Sa Ergen, Mamo Nahodih ( Барем са ерген, мамо, находих ) – Fragility of Family & Joy
Dobrudža region, Bulgaria
(Traditional)
Translation:
When I was a bachelor, Mama, I went everywhere kissing beautiful girls.
Beautiful girls from Sliven and slender, tall ones from Jambol.
Bachelorhood, dear Mama, is a carefree life.
Girlhood, dear Mama, is a privileged life.
That’s how it is while still living with Mama.

Shen Khar Venakhi ( შენ ხარ ვენახი) – Fragility of Love, Joy, & Hope
Kartli-Kakheti region, Georgia
(Traditional)
Shen Khar is a medieval Georgian hymn. This version is from the Rustavi Choir and the Telavi Women’s Chorus, text by King Demetre I, composite arrangement by Tzvetanka Varimezova.
Translation:
You are a vineyard newly blossomed. Young, beautiful, growing in Eden,
A fragrant poplar sapling in Paradise. May God adorn you.
No one is more worthy of praise. You yourself are the sun, shining brilliantly.
