Baltimore City State's Attorney Ivan Bates not rushing Adnan Syed case
Adnan Syed was convicted in 2000 for the killing of his former high school girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. After new evidence was discovered, former Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby moved to vacate that conviction. The hearing to do so is where things went sideways. Lee's family said they were not given enough notice to be at the hearing in person, although her brother was allowed to speak over Zoom.
