Certificates in Cisco Collaboration
This session will explore certificates in Cisco Collaboration. We will take a look at what certificates exist at installation on CUCM, IMP, and CUC and how those certificates are used by the systems for internal encryption. Next we will discuss what certificates might need to be exchanged between systems for those systems to communicate securely. The process of generating a Certificate Signing Request, and signing and installing that certificate will be demonstrated. Finally, we will take a quick look at endpoint encryption and the Cisco CAPF function.
After attending this session, you will be able to describe the different types of certificates in a Cisco Collaboration environment and how they are used by collaboration applications and devices. Describe the process for generating a Certificate Signing Request, and signing and installing the resulting certificate. Describe the purpose and function of the Certificate Authority Proxy Function (CAPF).
