GIMP Tutorial - how to make custom patterns
How to make custom patterns in GIMP using any image. This tutorial was inspired by Krowe2020, who asked me a question about making patterns. This video used to have extensive instructions contained in the annotations, but unfortunately youtube has deleted them all. Please send all complaints to youtube.
PLEASE NOTE: this is a very old tutorial. Those who use the latest 2.10 version of GIMP should use File - Export As, to export a .PAT file.
If you experience a permissions warning when saving a .PAT file, go into GIMP's preferences and find the Patterns folder location. Take a note of the location, and save your .PAT file in that folder.
