I hate to admit that I think I sat on this kit for close to a year. Sad. I don't even have a good excuse as to why. I was intimidated by the instructions as I couldn't read them- which is stupid considering how long I built Gundams and whatnot before learning a lick of Japanese.
Honestly, it wasn't that hard to build either. -_-
Straddling the line somewhere between toy and model kit, I'm pretty impressed by this little fella. It seems to occupy an area of the hobby market along with kits like Asoblock and Volks' Vlockers, easy to build models that function a lot like toys (except aimed more at adults and with adult prices).
The core model is pretty simple and offers alternative parts to build it as one of two variations. Sadly the cockpit needs to be removed from one torso before building the other. Would have been nice to have an extra, but at that point it would be two complete mech kits as is!
There's quite a lot of optional bits to mess with as well.
Parts have some precolored paint apps as well which was a pleasant surprise.
Finding out more about these kits was a challenge for me as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info out there- at least in a language I can read fluently.... so far.
Still there's all sorts of weird and wonderful mecha kits getting produced outside of Japan these days, and I'll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for more!
