Playing windows games on Linux using Steamplay ( Proton ) :
Under Night In-Birth Exe Late : ST
Unist is a 2D fighting game by french bread and arc Ecole Software; first appeared in arcade in 2012 and later ported to PS3/PS4 and windows.
The gameplay reminds me Melty Blood, but with a deeper fighting system :
The GRD Bar ( the segmented blocks bellow )
Some action will make you gain GRD ( dashing, blocking, attacking )and some other will make you lose GRD ( backstep, being blocked, behing hit )
When the circle near the grd blocks is full : the player with the most GRD will enter the Vorpal state ( a temporary +10% dmg buff and the ability to perform chain shift )
Chain shift is a command (much like guilty gear's roman cancel) that can be used to cancel your attacks and gain EXS (based on the amount of GRD you had)
Great OST and Characters (hand drawned).
Definitely a must have in a 2D fighting library !
