The Secret of Professional Beekeepers: Hive Reproduction. "Discover the secrets that expert beekeepers use to increase honey production and expand their hives. We will share with you the experiences and knowledge necessary to ensure the success of the beehive reproduction process, and we will provide you with valuable tips to avoid common mistakes.
An exciting journey into the world of beekeeping: From a single hive to a thriving apiary. Join us on this fun journey as we explore the process of beehive reproduction. We will provide you with a simplified explanation of the biological processes that occur inside the hive, and how you can benefit from them to increase the productivity of your apiary.
/ Choose a good hive, which is from the strain of your country's region, resistant to diseases and cold, and can adapt to the climate of the region, and is a honey group and not fierce and not prone to swarming, and it must also be strong, healthy and free of diseases, and have a large amount of brood, honey and bee bread.
/ Queen production, you can produce queens using a Ginter device, or by grafting, but I will provide you with a simple and inexpensive method, which is the Miller method, but I changed it a little, and called it the Kehl method for producing queens, I will leave you the link in the description below the video, which explains the method in detail, the important thing is when you divide the hive, you remove two closed brood frames with food, and a frame with 3-day-old eggs and food. And you put 3 foundation frames for the mother hive, It is better to put new frames to speed up the process, while feeding the mother cell with the stimulating sugar solution, and you can add herbs, spices or drops of lemon.
/ After 5 days of division, you check the division, and demolish the closed royal cells, because the bees built them on old larvae, and fed on royal food, bee bread and honey, so they will produce bad queens, with the specifications of workers, and also demolish the small and attached cells, the important thing is that you leave 8 or 10 large cells, and scattered so that you can put the cage on them.
/ After 4 days of demolishing the royal cells, you cage the royal cells that you left, and leave 3 without a cage.
/ After 3 or 4 days, the queens will come out of the royal cell, you put them in the queen cage, and put the cages in the frame designated for the cage holder. And you put the frame inside the division, so that the bees can take care of them and feed them, you can watch the video that I will leave in the description below the video, which explains how to preserve virgin queens.
/ You divide the mother cell into 3 cells, the mother cell has 4 frames and the other cells have 3 frames, with two frames of closed brood about to hatch, and a frame with food, and you add to the mother cell and the first division, from which the queens were produced, two basic frames or built frames, with stimulating feeding, day after day.
/ On the second day of the division, you demolish the royal houses, and put a queen in each division in a cage, with 5 or 8 workers, from the cell in which the queen was, and put the cage between two closed broods.
/ After two days, you open the queens, and feed the cells with the stimulating sugar solution, with the addition of some herbs or spices, and put a quarter of a liter of water in the cell day after day and at sunset, and add to them basic frames or built frames between two closed broods.
