In today’s video, I’ll share 8 fabulous places to see trolls in the Portland and Seattle areas so you can find these weird & wonderful trolls yourself.

Six of the trolls were built in 2023 by Danish artist Thomas Dambo and teams of local volunteers. They’re made of recycled materials and are intended in part to raise awareness about sustainability. Thomas Dambo has made over 100 troll sculptures all over the world! The Pacific Northwest series of trolls is called the Way of the Bird King, and includes the following trolls:

1. Ole Bolle - Portland, OR
2. Bruun Idun - Lincoln Park, Seattle, WA
3. Oscar the Bird King - Vashon Island, WA
4. Pia the Peacekeeper - Bainbridge Island, WA
5. Jakob Two Trees - Issaquah, WA
6. Frankie Feetsplinters - Seattle, WA

For 7 & 8, I’ll share Portland and Seattle’s longstanding troll bridges—which are nothing alike!

Trolls are often not the only fabulous things we found on the troll hunt, so I’ll also share what else you may enjoy along the way.
