We can block specific URLs from accessing internet by adding those URLs to Host file in our Windows PC. But when you edit host file, windows doesn't allow to save on the same document. It always go for a Save As. This happens because the file is protected by Windows.

We need to edit the permission settings of this file. We can use the settings inside Properties of this text document. This video will explain how to edit a administrator/system protected host file in Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Currently the host file is 'Read Only' document, you have to allow write permission to it. This video will teach you how to do it. Also the video will explain how to block a specific URL.
