There was a tight window between our locals-only Magic Key black-out dates for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season, but we were able to snag a reservation this week to go check out the Festival of Holidays event going on at #Disneyland California Adventure. This is one of several “foodie” events this amusement park holds during which they set up a number of kiosks offering seasonal food and drinks. This year there was only one plant based snack offered from the kiosks plus one in a restaurant. The Making Spirits Bright kiosk offers Impossible™ Chicken Curry Bites with Lemon Raina and Coriander Chutney. I don’t recall this being on the menu the other times we’ve attended, which is cool. They were pretty tasty, though not as impressive as some plant based items offered at past events. If I were only going to order one of the two seasonal items offered this year, I’d go for the Impossible Albondogos Soup that returned to Paradise Garden Grill this year. We also tried the Cherry Mango Punch from the Favorite Things kiosk but we were so thirsty that I forgot to take any video hehe.
Of course, there’s a number of non-seasonal plant based items on the menus of various restaurants in the park, so it’s not that there aren’t any vegan options, it’s just that it would be nice to have at least one dessert and coffee drink that are vegan-friendly for this special event.
