We’re Isis and Bertus, a couple on a journey to restore our 200-year-old Italian farmhouse in northern Italy using eco-conscious, traditional methods.
In the summer of 2023 we moved into a neglected farmhouse in a tiny village in the northwest of Italy. The last inhabitants left some 15 years ago, but large parts of the property have been empty for well over 20 years.
Step by step we're restoring the house and outbuildings, learning new skills and blending history, sustainability, and practicality.
