Sidequest won't see the Oculus Quest? Try this!
NOTE: This won't fix everyone's issues. This fixes just one of MANY possible issues.
Every now and again, someone asks about a weird situation where Sidequest just WON'T see their Quest, no matter what. They installed the driver - like directed by sidequestvr.com but just can't seal the deal.
Sometimes the driver isn't properly detected - but it doesn't happen to everyone. This video will show you how to force the driver into working.
This video shows the driver not showing up a second time - after you have authorized the Quest once already. If you're following the process from the SideQuest site, you may need to do this BEFORE the step to authorize (but after you've installed the driver).
Check DEVICE MANAGER for the unknown ADB device as you see here. Force the Oculus ADB driver as shown here.
If this doesn't work for you, there are at least a half a dozen other potential problems. Please read my responses to others before posting the same question. Thanks!
