The image of 'Tank Man' was taken by photojournalist Jeff Widener using a Nikon FE2 and 400mm f/5.6 Nikkor lens. According to Jeff, he happened to be out of film, and had to borrow a roll of Fuji 100 ISO color film from an American tourist in the hotel.
Widener guessed the exposure in the heat of the moment and had to smuggle the roll out of the hotel to the Associated Press. By the next day the film was developed and in every major Western newspaper. If it wasn’t for Jeff Widener’s skill as a photographer, and the Nikon FE2, the world may have not have known 'Tank Man'
