Our resumes and linkedin profiles highlight our professional milestones, but what they don't reflect is the daily discipline, agonizing waiting and countless rejections that fill the space in between our achievements. It's so tempting to give up when you feel like nothing is happening despite your best efforts. But know that everything worth having takes time. So keep pushing through because every networking event, every coffee meet-up, every workout, every thank you note, every morning you simply get up out of bed when you really don't want to, all of those little actions are adding up -- even if you can't see it at the time.
