QUICK TIPS: Top 10 Windows Run Commands
There are literally hundreds of commands that you can type into the "Run" dialog box but let's face it, almost everyone will never use most of those. There are, however, a few nuggets that are true gold.
There are a few ways to get to that "Run" box - Right click on Start and select "Run", click on start - Scroll down to "Windows System" in the apps and expand it - The "Run" command is listed there. If you want to open the dialog box quickly press and hold down the Win key and then press R.
Here are my top 10 favorite Run commands:
• . = Open your home folder
• .. = Launch user folders
• \ = Opens the Windows Drive
• Documents = Open Documents Folder
• Videos = Open Videos folder
• Downloads = Open Downloads Folder
• Favorites = Open Favorites Folder
• Recent = Open Recent Folder
• Pictures = Open Pictures Folder
• Control = Control Panel
