Dog twitching with muscle tremors
Ruby presented to us initially for slightly being off color. Her physical examination was unremarkable and the only concern was her generalized stiff hindlimb gait. We sent her home on oral pain killers. She then developed action tremors. Basically as soon as she was walking or standing, her muscles would start to uncontrollably twitch. When she laid down, the twitching would stop. We were worried about some sort of poisoning. The odd thing is she was still very bright in herself. She was treated aggressively with intravenous fluid therapy and antibiotics. She has improved but still isn't out of the woods.
