At the 57th session of the Human Rights Council, during the General Debate Item 9, Cristiano Silva, representative of Eu sou eu: a ferrugem, delivered a joint statement highlighting human rights violations by the Brazilian police and justice systems against formerly incarcerated persons, and urging the State to build an enabling environment for defenders working on racial justice to safely conduct their work.
