During the Interactive Dialogue with Working Group of Experts of People of African Descent, the Brazilian defender and directly impacted person, Rute Fiuza, delivered a joint statement in the name of Mães da Bahia, the UN Antiracism Coalition and ISHR, demanding justice for her 16-year old son and asking the State to ensure a secure environment for HRDs working on racial justice in the country.
