This episode covers the sixth step in the journey of a guide dog, which is when our volunteer Training Dog Fosterers provide a temporary and loving home for a dog in training whilst they embark on their journey to becoming a guide dog. We have several other Fosterer roles where you can look after one of our puppies on a short-term basis or even one of our breeding dogs, if their volunteers go on holiday or fall ill. We also have Respite Fosterers who look after our training dogs on a short-term basis for a variety of reasons, including if the dog is unwell or is waiting for their forever home.
