This is our first test of streaming live 3D animation using a MetaHuman character in Unreal Engine 5. We were live on both Facebook and YouTube simultaneously.

As stated, the environment was in Unreal Engine 5 and used a MetaHuman character. The character was animated using separate systems for the body and the face. The facial motion capture utilized an iPad with Live Link Face. The body used a Perception Neuron Studio mocap suit with the data streamed from Axis Studio. Unreal Engine used the Off World plugin to send the camera data to OBS Studio and, from there, out to the world.

Overall, I think it was a suitable proof of concept. Unfortunately, not many people were able to participate live. That is the main reason the video is over 2 hours, just seeing if there were going to be people to interact with.

I spent most of the time reading stories generated from ChatGPT.

If there is enough interest, I can produce a tutorial on the setup.
