Having never taken lessons, I like the feeling of building my own playing style through intentional practice, how that shapes my unique familiarity with the instrument. My playing is informed by the shape of my hands, the shape of the instrument, and which sounds I like best. There is so much range to how strings can be struck - far more than keys.
