Camarillo used to be known for it's insane asylum, which is now the home to California State University Channel Islands. Farmland can still be found in the area, which makes for a serene setting. Camarillo has 2 country clubs, Spanish Hills and Las Posas Country Club. In addition, you can golf at Sterling Hills. Camarillo is now known for golfing at these beautiful clubs, and of course the Camarillo Outlets. People come from all around to shop for deals here.
