This quick video features our tech assessing a customer's experience with voltage injection in their DVR due to faulty cameras or cabling. This common issue often arises during the replacement of older DVRs. We test all of our DVRs before they are shipped to ensure they are in working order and do not have any issues.

Newer HD DVRs are more sensitive to electrical problems that might exist with older analog security cameras and cabling. If you observe your cameras intermittently cutting out, or notice lines or unusual glitches in the video, you'll need to troubleshoot your cameras and cabling. Concerning cabling, inspect for any breaks, shorts, or damages. Regarding the cameras, ensure they are not nearing the end of their lifespan and that their power supply is not failing.
