Welcome to Pointers from the Pros, a new weekly series where members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2014 share tips and pointers about the game. In the first video of the series, 10 time All-Star and 2 time Cy Young Award winner, Tom Glavine talks about the various grips he used for different pitches including a changeup, 2 and 4 seam fastball, slider and curve ball.
Through the course of his career, Glavine had 682 regular-season appearances as a starting pitcher. He ranks fourth all-time among left-handers in victories (305), won two NL Cy Young Awards (1991, 1998) and finished second two other times (1992, 2000). Glavine won the 1995 World Series MVP Award and won 20 or more games in 5 seasons.
