Complete beginner? Want to know how to go from modeling, to UVing, to texturing, to shading, to lighting, and rendering in Autodesk Maya and Arnold? This is the perfect tutorial series for you!
Part two is going to go over UVs. In this video we will go over the key tools to master UV layouts. We will go over the different UV layout types. We also go over the importance of unfold, straighten, and layout. I also discuss the importance of taking the time to making good UVs and how to think about the layout of your UVs, depending on how you are going to paint them later.
*** Tip I forgot to mention in the video:
When it comes to UVs make sure to Maximize your U1V1 space. This is how much resolution you have. So take full advantage and scale your UV shells largely to maximize this space.
