"If Tomorrow Brings War", "Если завтра война", is a famous Soviet song from 1938, which was about a potential future war that the Soviets would be able to fight off. The invasion of the Soviet Union by the Axis powers on the 22nd of June, 1941, caught the Soviets by surprise, and pushed them up to Moscow before the ultimate Soviet victory came. At least 25-27 million Soviet soldiers and civilians died over the course of the war. This version was presumably recorded in 1941, after the invasion began.
