As part of WNYC's centennial celebration, each week we'll take listeners on a tour of key moments from the WNYC and NYC Municipal archives.

At the time of September 11, 2001, WNYC was located at the top of the Municipal Building on Centre Street — a stone’s throw from the World Trade Center. In this clip, WNYC news reporter Beth Fertig is on the scene trying to get the story with her MiniDisc recorder on.
