As part of WNYC's centennial celebration, each week we'll take listeners on a tour of key moments from the WNYC and NYC Municipal archives.

In this clip, longtime WNYC morning host Steve Post puts his heart and soul into the pledge drive in 1995.

WNYC was from its earliest days a radio station owned by the City of New York. By the mid-1990s, it began moving away from city ownership. Post was thrilled — he was morning host for a 20 year stretch, and master of the pledge drive.
