Blender 4.2 SDF Modelling and Elmer Simulation
I'm trying the new SDF grid boolean node in Blender 4.2 to model a resistor, and then exporting it to FreeCAD to set-up an FEM heat simulation in Elmer, and then using SDF nodes again to visualise the results, also using Eevee next. Very exciting! Will be creating more FEM simulations of Blender models!!
The FEM simulation in Elmer is very basic for now, simply shows the resistor's steady-state temperature distribution as it heats up assuming it is thermally isolated.
