It's pretty crazy that you can actually run Windows apps on the M1 MacBook Pro using Crossover 20. Crossover is not just limited to games, you can run other Windows apps as well! Not all apps are supported but there is a wide range that are.
Wine (Open Source): https://www.winehq.org/
Crossover works by translating the apps from Windows to MacOS, then Rosetta 2 translates them from MacOS to ARM. For having translated this software twice, I'm super impressed with the performance. We were able to run the Witcher 3 with a playable frame rate...that alone is crazy.
