In this lesson, we will learn how to compare the size of two or more fractions. First we will use a slower method, which involves first finding the LCD and then transforming each fraction into an equivalent fraction where the LCD is its denominator. Next, we would look at the numerators and state that the larger fraction will have the larger numerator given the fact that the denominators are the same. We will then develop a shortcut for this process that involves cross multiplying.
