Join us in this battlefield tour, originally streamed live on YouTube and slightly edited before uploaded here. We will be walking in Veghel near Eindhoven and discuss what happened on Black Friday, the 22nd of September 1944 when the Germans attacked the village with the aim to destroy the bridges and cut off all forces north of Veghel. It was the job of the 101st Airborne, most notably Fox company, 506th PIR to prevent them from succeeding. Even though the Germans were unable to enter Veghel and destroy the bridges, they did manage to block the corridor for over 24 hours at a critical point in Operation Market Garden.

The livestream was recorded with Joel Stoppels Battlefield Tours and Funcksterrshoots PhotoGraphy.
