How to get your WordPress site listed on Google?
Today in this video we are going to tell you how to get your Wordpress site listed on Google. Google is the top place of traffic and visitors to most websites. If you are serious about launching a blog or starting your new business website, then it is important to get your website listed on Google as soon as possible.
Follow the steps to add your WordPress site to Google:
Before getting started you will need to make sure that your WordPress site appears on the search engine.
Step::1 Login to your WordPress admin panel
Step::2 Go to Settings section on the left side admin panel and choose the Reading option
Step::3 Scroll down to the Search Engine Visibility option and check if the box is ticked or not. Make sure to remove the check mark from Search Engine Visibility option, so search engines can crawl your website.
The next thing you need to do is install and activate the Yoast SEO plugin.
Step::4 Go to Add New under Plugins section
Step::5 Search for Yoast SEO plugin in the search box
Step::6 Install and Activate the plugin for use
Step::7 Now go to the Installed Plugin and click on the Settings link under Yoast SEO
Step::8 On the settings page, go to the Webmaster Tools tab and click on Google Search Console link.
Step::9 Once you reach to Google Search Console page, click on the Add Property button inside your Google search console account.
Step::10 Next you need to enter your domain URL and click on Continue button to get the Google verification key
Step::11 Copy the code you see and paste it inside the Google Verification code box in Settings page of Webmaster Tools tab
Step::12 Click on Save Changes.
Step::13 Now again go back to Google Search Console window and click on the Verify button located on the same page from where you copied the Google Verification key.
Step::14 Next go to the Settings page of Yoast SEO plugin and click on the Dashboard tab
Step::15 Switch ON the XML Sitemap option and go back to your Google Search Console account and add a new Sitemap
Step::16 Finally click on Submit button.
Once Google has crawled and indexed your website, you will start seeing its report in the Search Console itself.
