This is Jim Chadwick's recollection of his WWll sighting of a UFO, that he wrote up in the ships log in detail when in the South Pacific, Between Guam and Hawaii during WW2...
Jim Chadwick was on the USS Anchor AR13, about midway to Hawaii between the later part of May and Mid June of 1946.
This sighting was in the evening half way through his watch.

Former UCLA football player and Leuzinger Head football coach Jim Chadwick dies at 94.
Chadwick served in the Navy and honorably discharged in 1946.
He played Football at UCLA in 1948 and 1949 and after settling in the South Bay, retired from Leuzinger High School in 1985
