Microsoft is joining forces with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help address the critical question of how to feed a global population expected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050. The USDA's Beltsville Agricultural Research Center in Maryland is now using FarmBeats, a project that's putting data in the hands of farmers to help them cut costs, increase yields and sustainably grow crops that are more resilient to climate change.
