This is a instant version of Gulab jamun recipe, everyone's favourite Gulab jamun can make with bread, that will be soft juicy and 100% perfect. Delicious Gulab jamun made using bread and milk.
ingredients:-
white bread loaf- 1
milk - as needed
Cardamom powder-1/3 tsp
Clarified butter/ desi ghee- 1 tbsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
water 750 ml/ 3 cup
sugar 750 gm/3 cup
Cardamom powder 1/3 tsp
saffron- little bit
fry oil - as needed
method:-
• Trim the crusts off the bread slices and crumble them.
• And place them in a mixing bowl.
• Then, add milk, cardamom powder, clarified butter, and baking soda.
• Using your hands, mash the bread mixture to ensure it is completely combined and smooth.
• Take small portions of the mixture, and roll them into smooth balls.
• The size should be about that of a marble or walnut.
• Make sure the balls are smooth and free from cracks.
• In a pan, combine sugar and water, cardamom powder, and saffron.
• Stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
• Heat the mixture over medium heat, until it slightly thickens.
• Remove the syrup from heat and set it aside.
• In a frying pan heat oil over medium heat.
• You need enough oil to deep fry the balls.
• Carefully put few bread balls into the hot oil.
• Do not overcrowd the pan.
• Fry the balls, until they are golden brown and evenly cooked.
• Immediately transfer the fried balls into the Luke warm sugar syrup.
• Let them soak in the syrup for at least 2-3 hours.
• The balls will absorb the syrup and become soft.
• Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make bread Gulab jamun!
