NieR Automata is a sad game 😢
This short video essay was surprisingly fun to make, especially for such a sad topic. I decided to recap and analyze one of my favorite sad games and what makes it such a tragic story. Incuding gameplay immersion, and callbacks to Shakespearean writting, NieR Automata masterfully crafts it’s greatest tragedy. This vid contains MAJOR spoilers tho.
