If you're a beginner trader and you want to learn how to sell put options this video is for you.
I'll walk you through everything starting with the first step of technical analysis and identifying a good potential stock to sell a put on.
You'll see a real example of a trade that I made, my reasoning behind it and how I determined the strike price for my put option sale based on my chart reading and stock analysis.
Then I'll take you into Interactive Brokers' option chain and we will review the strike prices, expiration dates and key levels for things like Delta, Return on Investment and other guiding principles to check before selling put.
Remember, because you are taking on the risk of having to buy 100 shares of stock you want to make sure you are being paid enough premium to take on that risk.
In the trade I demonstrate in the video, the premium paid to sell 1 put contract is $750 which ends up at a 4% return and 44% annualized return.
Follow along as I break down how to calculate your max profit, max loss and return on investment and finally enter the trade in Interactive Brokers to make it official.
