The SimpleHuman CW1830 - 46L Recycler - Dual Compartment Rectangular Recycling bin is pedal recycling bin with a larger compartment for plastics and glass and a smaller compartment for small bits of cardboard, paper etc.
I’m here to tell you what I think of it, not bore you with the stats and dimensions.
For me it works really well. We use the larger compartment for plastic and glass, and the smaller compartment for cardboard and paper that comes off food packaging. You can buy perfect fit bin liners for each compartment (H for the larger, V for the smaller), which you don’t have to throw away with each empty (I really want to reuse these as much as possible, so I quickly wash them out with the hose pipe after each empty).
The soft close lid operated by your feet is great if you’re heavy footed, or have kids that like to help, and it closes as softly as it opens with each press.
I think it looks pretty stylish and would be a great addition to any home. It also has wheels at the back if you wish to move it around easier.
The bin comes with correct sized liners that you need for each compartment to get you started, and also takes the guess work out of making sure you buy the right ones. Just use the letters for the correct size. These are also displayed at the back of the compartments.
Is it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes! Now I’ve had chance to use the SimpleHuman dual compartment recycling bin I have to say I love it and would miss it if it wasn’t around. It looks stylish, it’s near silent, easy to use and empty, and it comes with a 10 year guarantee which is great.
For the price it really had to wow me and it certainly has done that.
