The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo is a fantastic laptop with an RTX 3070 and i9 10980HK. This helps when you want to be really productive, it’s going to do everything you could ask for from a little thing like this. It brings some great power to your fingertips, literally, and makes your artwork and editing routine more streamlined and easy. I have a full video review on this little guy in the top right of the screen in the cards.
On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Strix is a powerful machine with an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 9 6900HX. It’s great for editing and VFX (because Ryzen is known for more stable artwork workflows) with a big emphasis on gaming.
Now I know that comparing these two laptops can be a little difficult since their graphics cards and CPUs are not really similar. The RTX from the ASUS ROG Strix packs a bigger punch than the one in the ZenBook and the i9 in the ZenBook is better for gaming than the Ryzen 9 in the ROG Strix but hear me out.
Your workflow may be different to mine. At the end of this video, I’m going to tell you which one of these laptops I like more from an objective perspective from a productivity, power, and workflow point of view. 1. They both run AAA games just fine.
2. They both can edit in Premiere Pro and Moderate After Effects projects with ease. However, the ZenBook will really crank its fans up when working on more graphic demanding projects. It still gets the job done, just something worth noting.
3. They both have 1TB of M.2 SSD storage and 32GB of ram.
And that’s about all that they have in common. These laptops can be very different and depending on your workflow, you will prefer one over the other.
