Alexander Mikhailovich Rodchenko was a leading figure in the Constructivist and Productivist movements. Trained at the Kazan School of Art, he quickly gained acclaim for his mastery of academic principles. In collaboration with Varvara Stepanova, he explored avant-garde styles influenced by artists like Kazimir Malevich and Vladimir Tatlin.

Rodchenko’s diverse talents spanned decoration, furniture design, theater, painting, sculpture, and photography. He advocated for art’s integration into everyday life.

Rodchenko’s pioneering work in still photography revolutionized the medium, employing innovative techniques such as unconventional angles and photomontage to challenge conventions.
