How to Bridge ETH in Core | Avalanche
As the crypto world continues to expand, it’s becoming increasingly important to be able to bridge assets from one blockchain network to another. Fortunately, users of Core have all the tools necessary to do this quickly. Watch this brief video to learn how to bridge to Avalanche with your Ethereum assets.
1. Download the Core Extension: https://extension.core.app/
2. Click the Core icon on your browser to open the extension.
3. Press the “+” icon on the lower right-hand corner of the window to bring up the menu of options. Click “Bridge.”
4. On the Bridge window, select Ethereum for your “From” option. Avalanche should be set as “To.” Click "Add Bitcoin" (immediately below the Bitcoin field).
- If you have not done so already, make sure to populate your Ethereum address with ETH to bridge over to the Avalanche network.
5. Enter the amount to bridge and click "Transfer".
6. You will see a Transaction Status window that tracks the progress of your Ethereum bridge request. Give it a few moments to complete. Clicking the transaction link in the extension will open it up in the Etherscan explorer. You have the option of using the “Hide Transaction” button to perform other activities while you wait.
7. Once the transaction has completed, your Ethereum will be shown as “WETH.e” under your Avalanche C-Chain assets. These coins are available for use immediately.
