Formatting
Select the cells of which you want to copy format
Once cells are selected then Copy the data (CTRL C)
Once the data is copied now select the first cell where the formatting needs to be applied then go to Home Tab under the clipboard group under Paste option click on the drop-down then from the Paste Special option Select the formatting option
Here As per copied cells formatting will be applied only to the related cells, not all the data.
Format Painter
To use format painter Select the relevant cells then go to the Home Tab under clipboard option click on Format painter option
You can see now cursor is highlighted as a brush type icon
To apply format painting select all relevant cells, this will get applied to all selected cells rather than copied count of cell

Double click on format painter to apply formatting multiple times
