xQc was raging on his Twitch stream over how broken controller aim assist was on Halo Infinite, saying he had literally taken his hand off the controller and it was still tracking enemies for him.
Aim assist has been a massive debate in esports and streaming for years, and Halo Infinite in particular came under fire after a clip of the game tracking players from across the map with aim assist while a player wasn’t even in the same room as his controller surfaced. Devs for Halo Infinite said that would not be an issue when the game came out, but on xQc’s stream, he proved otherwise, showing the aim assist tracking enemies form across the map without any input from him.
Calling the aim assist in Halo Infinite broken, xQc said he couldn’t believe what he was seeing, with his shots landing from across the map despite him playing one handed. Nickmercs of course jumped in to defend the controller gang, saying playing Halo Infinite on mouse and keyboard was disrespectful to the Halo legacy, and that everyone should just be on controller anyway.
So is xQc right, and Halo Infinite aim assist is broken and needs to be toned way down, or should we all follow Nickmercs’ advice and just play on controller and aim assist our hearts out? Let us know in the comments!
