APIs and Data: Are these two different things? Sometimes it feels like it, with organizations cultivating separate API and data strategies. Why is that so, and what's a possible path to bring these two topics closer together?
@StefanTilkov, founder and principal consultant at @InnoQ, talks about the history of the "divide", why the "dev people" may currently be a little bit ahead, how he sees this playing out in his consulting practice, and what he sees as a solution to the problem.
We don't yet have a Grand Unified Theory (GUT) for APIs and data, but it seems like we are getting closer. We have learned a lot about getting faster from the #DevOps movement, and we also have learned a lot about how to better align teams for more effective collaboration. It seems we are heading more unified times, and that's a great thing to hear!
