In 1988, when my two daughters were just growing into teenagers, I composed four complete piano scores, dedicated to them. This was one of those four. The other three have also been uploaded to MuseScore. Look for them on my channel. This piece became my younger daughter's favorite, frequently bringing tears to her eye. Today, she plays it for her own daughter. It evokes a lazy summer day watching floating leaves on a pond drifting by.
Although originally composed as a grand piano score, I've added some soft strings and synths to better capture the melodic richness of the song. My daughter in fact helped me adapt it to MuseScore. All instruments are from the MuseScore default soundfonts, carefully balanced for volume and timing. I've also added a touch of reverb so if you download it to play, make sure you activate reverb in the Synth menu. We invite you to download and play this song. It will give you some peace.
