Geraldine and Harriet (Cats of Paleochora — long version)
Long version of the short video! Since this is just the longer video of the short, I'm copying the original description:
Filmed on the 8th of November, 2023 in Paleochora*, island of Crete, Greece
We were staying in Paleochora for 13 days and met many sweet cats in this town. On the eleventh day of my Cat Advent Calendar 2023 we meet this dynamic duo we named Geraldine (tabby with white) and Harriet (all black). They live near Methaxis Beach in Paleochora nearby the Selino Castle. They finished almost all the food we carried on our little cat walk that day that also took us up to the castle where we met Deli Department and friends.
Neither Geraldine nor Harriet was interested in pets. Harriet was a little less afraid of us humans. They both have very funny meows.
Though we had to leave Crete at some point, these cats are not completely forgotten. There's a local organization called Paleochora Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) run by two Germans who moved there that helps the cats (and dogs) of the town by feeding them and sometimes bringing them to the vet for medical care or spay/neuter.

They do not pay me to promote them. We donated some money to them. They are organized as a German Verein (association) and handle the money they receive under such a policy and they bring out reports and follow up on the cats and dogs they help on their Facebook profile.
*Paleochora is also sometimes written as Palaiochora. In Greek it's either Παλαιόχωρα or Παλιόχωρα
