This study explores the trends and challenges in the Philippine labor market, focusing on the need for policies that address global technological shifts and support sustainable job creation. Using a computable general equilibrium (CGE) model, it simulates the country's economic structure from 2024 to 2040, projecting increased demand for both skilled and unskilled labor. The paper also recommends multi-sectoral employment planning summits, aligned with the Trabaho Act, to guide national and regional strategies. The discussion will be led by Joselito T. Sescon, an Assistant Professor at Ateneo de Manila University and co-head of the CW3 Laboratory, and Dr. Philip Arnold P. Tuaño, Dean of the Ateneo School of Government, both of whom have extensive backgrounds in economics and development.
