Refactoring JavaFX GUI Code, Part 4: Use the Domain Model
In this final part of the series, we look back at the refactoring from Part 3 to identify an opportunity for a more elegant solution. By using the domain model, we remove an unnecessary dependency that the main application had on String representations of data. Taking this idea further, we extract a ResultView from MainApplication, which had previously been left as an exercise in Part 3.
This episode includes a brief discussion of Separable-Model Architecture, which I mentioned in the video description of the first episode.
