As an administrator, you can help prevent spam and malicious email by adding email addresses or entire domains to the blocked senders list. This way, you automatically reject messages from them.
Block sender settings are applied to users based on their organizational unit. You can block mail from anyone in your organization by address or domain. Or you can create different settings for different departments.
Groups: Block senders settings may or may not apply to messages posted to Google Groups for Business. If a blocked sender is sending a message to a group, members of that group may receive the message. It depends on your notification or email settings for the group. Address lists and Gmail settings
To create a block sender setting, add one or more address lists to the setting. Management of address lists is independent of settings in your Google Admin console. For more information, see Use address lists in Gmail settings.
Sign in to your Google Admin console. Log in with an administrator account, not your current account
From the Admin console home page, go to Apps, Google Workspace, Gmail, Spam, Phishing, and Malware. To apply the setting to everyone, select the top-level organizational unit. Otherwise, select the child OU. Scroll to Blocked Senders and choose an option: To edit an existing setting, click Edit next to the rule.
The Edit Settings box opens. For the new Block Senders setting, click Add another rule. The Add Settings box opens. Enter a description of the Block Senders setting. Click an option: Use an existing list: In the Select an address list box, select one or more address lists. Then go directly to Step 2: (Optional) Edit the default rejection notice. Create or Edit List: The Manage Address List window opens in a new browser tab.
Add custom text for rejection notices under Edit default rejection notices. Blocked senders receive this notification when their mail is rejected.
You can block emails from individual addresses or entire domains by adding those addresses or domains to the blocked senders' list. This helps protect mailboxes from spam and malicious emails. The Block Senders setting applies to all users in the organizational unit. #Google #Email #Workplace
